ABSTRACT: The Pavement Test Track provides answers related to pavement performance in a full scale, accelerated manner where results do not require laboratory scale extrapolations or lifelong field observations. In 2007 an agreement was signed between DER-SP (São Paulo DOT) and Mackenzie Presbyterian University (UPM) for construction and implementation of a test facility in SP 332 highway. São Paulo State Test Track is being constructed to improve research in all areas related to highway, such as pavement, bridges, environment, using new technologies. It has been created many kind of research sponsor, without any cost to DER-SP orto UPM. September, 20th, 2007 was the construction inauguration of the test track of São Paulo/Mackenzie. The aim of this facility is to be a reference in terms of highways sector; development and implement of new technologies in infrastructure transport area. São PauloState has more than 10 thousands kilometers of soil-cement base course. Part of these roads was constructed in the 70´s and still after 30 years, the base course is almost intact. If some rehabilitation on the roads are needed, it happens in the last layer or in other words, it is necessary only an overlay. While this technology is being used, DER-SP observed that the cure of this material is essential for its performance, mainly to avoid the cracking to appear. This paper reports the first research that was developed to study the performance of ten different curing products application in an experimental section with 525m of extension divided in lots of 40m each, beyond two stretches without no application of curing product and when and how to apply curing over soil-cement bases course.
